Richmond & Twickenham Easy Bike Trip

Easy pedalling and suitable for even the most occasional cyclist. This flat, short distance ride follows a leisurely 2.5 hour circuit, with stops along the way for talks and photos.
See many top attractions led by an expert local guide on a fascinating and fun ride. Experience a microcosm of British history, royal and architectural heritage, picturesque riverside and even part of the London Olympics 2012 cycling route. Pedal past Richmond Green and the Old Palace, the historic villas of Twickenham riverside, Teddington Lock, Ham House, Petersham Meadows, Richmond riverside and beneath the capital’s oldest bridge.
The ticket cost includes cycle hire, security lock and safety helmet. You will need to provide a returnable security deposit and photo ID for cycle hire. This tour is not available to children aged under 10. Children aged 10-16 must wear a safety helmet.
What type of terrain does the ride cover?
Terrain is flat and generally off-road along paved paths and gravel tracks. There is limited road cycling along quiet side roads and the dedicated cycle sections of other roads.
What if I want to bring my own bike?
Lower rates are available if you bring your own bike. Please enquire.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Frequent trains to Richmond station from London Waterloo (only 20 minutes by fast train), London Overground and London Underground District Line. Various bus routes. Paid parking available at the station.
