Riddle's Court is currently undergoing an extensive restoration project and we would like to share this once in a lifetime opportunity with you to visit inside this historic building during the restoration!
Riddle's Court is an A-Listed former merchant's house near to the Edinburgh Castle at the top of the Royal Mile. The building has significant cultural significance reflecting over 400 years of history. Alongside the building's rich history are connections to several important historic figures including King James VI and Patrick Geddes.
- Tour will begin from the site office of the main contractor John Dennis, located at 6 Victoria Terrace.
- Please arrive 10 minutes early to allow for issuing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Unfortunately latecomers will not be able to join a tour, as groups must be carefully marshalled through the building.
- Attendees should wear stout footwear suitable for use on a building site as boots will not be available on the day.
- The tour will include narrow and uneven staircases and involve walking on uneven surfaces. This may present trip hazards therefore this tour is not fully accessible for people with mobility or visual impairments.
NOTE: Minimum age for all tours 16 years old. No guests under this age will be allowed for legal reasons onto the site.
