What to expect.
Work as part of a team to repair the trail surface & correct its alignment, repair trail features, fill potholes, barrow stone.
Don't worry if this is your first dig day - our dig leaders will be on hand to show you what to do and to offer friendly advice. We will provide tools and materials. You don't need any specialist skills to be useful. N o experience is necessary but be ready for physical work, and hopefully having an enjoyable time.
Tips and advice for getting the most out of the day...
1. Clothing; Wear something that you don't mind getting dirty. Wear sturdy boots. Bring gloves - eg gardening or building gloves. Bring your mtb glasses for some eyeprotection. Dress appropriately for the weather - bring waterproofs, sunscreen, insect repellant etc.
2. Bring water and snacks.
3. Arrive a few minutes early
Important info
Volunteers must be aged 18 or over. If you book a place and then find that you cannot attend - Please let us know so that we can free up your space for someone else.
