Ride From The Core - Simulator Weekend
Sat, 3 Sep 2016, 10:00 – Sun, 4 Sep 2016, 16:00 BST
Straightness is one of the fundamental elements within the scales of training. Yet our bodies are not symmetrical and neither are those of our horses. How does this influence our steering, or the steering influence the symmetry? How do we recognise asymmetry in ourselves, or in our horses, what can we do about it?
During this 2 day course we will focus our attention on your basic position, with some focus on steering and symmertry with your horse. There will be explanations, demonstrations, and loads of exercises for you to do to enhance your understanding and feel. The work will start off horse and then be taken onto the simulator, so you can practice in motion. Riders of all levels of experience welcome.
There will be a 1 hour lunch break each day (usually around 1pm on Saturday and 12 noon on Sunday).
There is also the opportunity to take your learnings into a mounted lesson on the Monday following the course. You can ride a school horse, or bring your own.
