Spectacular views across London from a vantage point in Greenwich.
This is a 10 mile ride from the Southwark Needle to Cutty Sark Gardens. We will be using it as an opportunity to visit The Point in Greenwich, where we can admire a spectacular view over London, which rivals that which can be seen from Dawson Heights on a Southwark Healthy Ride.
We have chosen a circuitous route which takes us through Peckham Rye Park, Telegraph Hill, Brockley, which my predecessor Francis Sedgemore called the "Jewel of Sarf London", Hilly Fields (where there is a cafe), Glass Mill Leisure Centre, Elverson Road (where we cross the DLR), Morden Hill and then The Point, Greenwich..
This lack of distance on this ride is compensated for by hilliness - there is a climb up to Telegraph Hill, a steep descent on Ellerdale Street and another climb up Morden Hill.
This is the route for the ride.
Please do not attend if you are self-isolating or have Coronavirus symptoms.
