Do I have to book onto feeder + main rides to take part in this event?

Accepted Answer

No! You can either just book onto a feeder ride which then transfers to the main event - or you can just book directly onto the main ride if you are meeting us in town.

Question 2

I've never cycled on the road before, is this suitable for me?

Accepted Answer

To keep everyone safe and happy, we ask that riders have some previous experience of riding on roads and with traffic. We will have plenty of ride marshals on the day to keep the group together and the ride running smoothly but riders are responsible for their own decision making.

Question 3

Is this route accessible for people on trikes + cargo bikes?

Accepted Answer

Yes! We have test ridden the route with 3-wheelers in mind and although there are some gates to access parks etc, they are wide enough to accommodate wider bikes.

Question 4

Who is this ride suitable for?

Accepted Answer

All folk identifying as female / non-binary who are comfortable riding in a group setting, with traffic. This ride is not suitable for beginners who have not cycled in traffic before. The route is completely accessible for trikes and adapted bikes.

Not able to ride? Come get a lift on Teresa the Trishaw!

Accepted Answer

The Trishaw is an impressive 'sofa on a bike' suitable for elderly and those with mobility issues and disabilities or for those not yet cycling independently. We have 1 of 2 slots left, please email Gosia : gospolanska@gmail.com to enquire.

Question 6

I'm under 18, can I still come and cycle?

Accepted Answer

Please join us! We ask that all cyclists are over 14 and accompanied by a responsible adult. We ask a minimum of 1:2 / adult : minors.

Question 7

I don't have a bike but want to join the ride, can I borrow one?

Accepted Answer

Yes you can! Borrow one from Station South [email Anna : community@stationsouth.co.uk] or we have access to the Beryl Bikes [email Bee : beepedalready@gmail.com] if you're meeting us in town.

Question 8

What if I've booked ticket but can't make the ride anymore?

Accepted Answer

We urge everyone to cancel their tickets directly if you can no longer make the ride - with as much notice as possible! We have to restrict the size of groups to keep numbers safe, so we often have waiting lists. Cancelling your tickets enables others to still join us. Thank you!
