Rife to Rocks
Overview
An opportunity to listen to some fabulous speakers and ask questions about our local river and reef. Local diver and surfer, Paul Boniface, from Sussex Underwater, will be showcasing amazing marine footage in his story of the south coast's marine regeneration- in particular highlighting the reef just off Bognor's shoreline.
Tony Whitbread, President of Sussex Wildlife Trust, and Trustee of the Western Sussex Rivers Trust (WSRT) will be another key speaker. Tony has worked extensively on landscape scale conservation and the functioning of eco-systems.
Also speaking are representatives from WSRT and the Final Straw Foundation: Louise Barnetson and Helen Littlejohn. Louise will be highlighting simple ways in which you can help protect your local rivers through everyday actions.
Kate Whitton (WSRT) and Helen Littlejohn have recently organised volunteers in the clearing of over a tonne of rubbish from local chalk streams- the Ems and the Lavant. They are planning similar events for the Aldingbourne Rife.
Hosted by local enthusiast, Glenn Powell.
