Public Law Wales, the Children’s Commissioner for Wales and Swansea University present a seminar which will focus on the Rights of Children and Young Persons (Wales) Measure 2011.

The event will be of interest to lawyers, civil servants, civil society groups, students and all those interested in children's rights.

The seminar will begin with a brief discussion of Rights of Children and Young Persons (Wales) Measure 2011 setting out broadly what the law is.

The seminar will then discuss focus on what the aim of the legislation is. This will be followed by a discussion on how the use of the legislation could be improved in practice.

The speakers will then open the seminar up for discussion. Ideas and suggestions from participants on how to secure compliance with the Rights of Children and Young Persons (Wales) Measure 2011 in Wales would be very welcome.

The seminar will be chaired by Professor Simon Hoffman (School of Law, Swansea University).
