Event description

Description

Speakers; Ricardo De Sousa AMRIN and Adrian Price

The meeting is kindly hosted by NATS at Swanwick and presented by NATS experts. ADS-B [Automated Dependent Surveillance -Broadcast] is a technology which enables aircraft position to be transmitted to Air Traffic Control, and to other aircraft or airspace users, without the use of RADAR. In this respect, it is similar to the widely used maritime system, AIS.

Ricardo De Sousa from the ATC Strategy Team will present the wider ADS-B capability and how it is developing, aided by the forthcoming launch of the new AERION Service based on the Iridium-NEXT satellite system; and then Adrian Price, from R&D, will talk about using ADS-B for the electronic conspicuity of light aircraft.

Photo-ID will be required for Admittance. Refreshments will be available before the talk. Please do not bring any bags or cameras. There is no charge for attendance and member’s guests will be welcome.

Pease book using the name on your Photo-ID, plus email adress. Click REGISTER and then CHECKOUT to input your booking. There is no need to print the ticket. Limited to 50 places.
