At 1907 on 7th December 1942, the submarine HMS Tuna surfaced off the coast of occupied France near the mouth of the river Gironde. It was there that they launched Major Herbert "Blondie" Haslar and his team of marines in five kayaks to carry out attacks on German shipping in the port of Bordeaux.

The speakers will describe the raid itself and recent RN and RM commemorative expeditions to mark its 75th anniversary.
