PRide Gold Award, Internal Communications campaign: Wales Audit Office

GREAT Together - Changing Culture at the Wales Audit Office

They say that culture change is a 'marathon not a sprint', but in a short space of time, the Wales Audit Office managed to deliver a highly innovative campaign to create and embed a new set of organisational values and behaviours at the organisation.

The project was delivered in a completely different way than the public sector watchdog was used to. Totally co-produced and embraced by staff, it used different internal communications channels to engage colleagues and make changes long lasting. Some techniques were tried and tested, others more experimental and quirky - but hugely successful.

Rachel Moss (Head of Communications) and Non Jenkins (Audit Manager) will talk you through their Gold winning internal communications campaign to transform the culture of their organisation and improve staff feedback ratings.

If you’re interested in employee engagement and how internal communications can help achieve strategic business outcomes, then this event is for you.

Biographies:

Rachel Moss is Head of Communications for the Wales Audit Office in Cardiff. She leads an award-winning, integrated PR and marketing team which delivers internal and external communications, as well as publishing and design services, for the public sector watchdog. Rachel is a Chartered Practitioner and Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, member of the CIPR Cymru Committee; the CommsCymru steering group and is a CIPR PRide Awards judge.

Non Jenkins is Performance Audit Manager for the Wales Audit Office, specialising in change management; culture and citizen engagement. She manages a team of staff across seven local councils and works closely with Estyn and Care Inspectorate Wales colleagues. Non previously spent time at Welsh Government where she worked on shaping local government partnership working and governance policies, legislation and guidance. As a former national swimmer and musician, her sports, coaching and creativity are key drivers in everything she does and she loves challenging herself and others. Having undertaken 40 challenges for her 40th birthday, this year, she and a group of friends and colleagues are learning to ice skate! What’s the worst that could happen?!

This event will be delivered in English.

Gwobr Aur Pride, Ymgyrch Cyfathrebu Mewnol: Swyddfa Archwilio Cymru

GREAT Together: Newid y diwylliant yn Swyddfa Archwilio Cymru

Maen nhw'n dweud bod newid diwylliant yn 'marathon, nid sbrint', ond mewn amser byr llwyddodd Swyddfa Archwilio Cymru i ddarparu ymgyrch arloesol i greu ac ymgorffori cyfres newydd o werthoedd ac ymddygiadau sefydliadol ar gyfer y mudiad.

Cyflwynwyd y prosiect mewn modd hollol wahanol i unrhyw beth arall roedd y sefydliad wedi gwneud o’r blaen. Wedi'i gyd-gynhyrchu a'i groesawu gan staff, fe defnyddiodd wahanol sianeli cyfathrebu mewnol i ymgysylltu â chydweithwyr er mwyn gwneud newidiadau barhaol. Roedd rai tactegau wedi cael i ddefnyddio o’r blaen, ac eraill yn fwy arbrofol - ond yn hynod o lwyddiannus.

Bydd Rachel Moss (Pennaeth Cyfathrebu) a Non Jenkins (Rheolwr Archwilio) yn sôn am sut wnaeth eu hymgyrch gyfathrebu fewnol – a enillodd Gwobr Aur PRide - drawsnewid diwylliant eu sefydliad a derbyn adborth cadarnhaol gan staff.

Os oes gennych ddiddordeb mewn ymgysylltu â staff a sut y gall cyfathrebu mewnol helpu i gyflawni canlyniadau busnes strategol, dyma’r digwyddiad i chi.
