Exploring Risk, Assessment, Communication & Consent in Osteopathy
This is the first part of our post graduate course and it is a pre-requisite to attending the pelvis, abdominal and respiratory conditions days.
Working in groups, this is a mixed lecture and practical technique course with role play opportunities by the end of which you will be confident around issues of informed consent, patient modesty and personal risk.
This course is open to final year students and qualified osteopaths.
The course will meet Osteopathic Practice Standards A2, A5 and C2.

Risk and Consent
History / Influences/ Recording of treatments, clarity of diagnosis / myths / communication around treatment both with patient and other professionals.
Treatment of intimate areas
Communication / Risk / Pre/post information around rationale for the treatment and what to expect.
Practical sessions included.
CPD Hours: 6

Full course fees must be paid before the commencement of the course. There will be no refunds for cancelled places. The College of Osteopaths cannot guarantee that any course will run. In the event of your course being cancelled, all fees (excluding booking fees) received will be refunded in full.
