About this event

This interactive course comprises three, two hour sessions and is designed for any doctor.

The focus throughout is on the key medico-legal requirements and frameworks associated with good record keeping. Each session comprises a mixture of content delivery and self-directed learning/case discussion in breakout groups.

  • Session one - 9 June 2021 (1 pm to 3 pm): Delegates will explore common pitfalls in record keeping and the ways in which medical records can be used to support you when medical action arises.
  • Session two - 10 June 2021 (10am to 12 pm): GMC guidance in relation to record keeping will be highlighted, along with the importance of documenting key aspects of the consent process and documentation associated with use of chaperones.
  • Session three - 10 June 2021 (1pm to 3 pm): This final session will review how delegates can ensure medical records comply with data protection legislation and requirements. The common pitfalls associated new technology/ways of working and the impact on patient confidentiality will also be explored.

This course is led by MDDUS risk advisers, Kay Grant and Alan Frame

The course has been accredited by the Royal College of Physicians for 6 CPD credits.

What's the refund policy?

MDDUS absorb the Eventbrite booking fee when you register, however you will be liable for this fee if you cancel. The fee for this event will be between £10-£13 for this event dependent on your ticket type.

What happens if i cannot access this event due to a technical issue?

Please ensure you have full access to Zoom before booking this course. If you experience technical difficulties in accessing the course you can apply for a refund, however MDDUS are not able to refund the Eventbrite booking fee
