You are invited to Electrical Safety First’s afternoon seminar on “Risk mitigation of lithium batteries and drones” on Thursday 27th April at The Convocation Hall, Church House, Westminster from 3pm – 5pm. The event will be attended by industry experts across the product supply chain including manufacturers, retailers, importers, product testing houses, safety advocates and lawyers.

Leading experts in product safety will discuss firstly, the safety issues of lithium type batteries which are used extensively in mobile phones, hoverboards, e-cigarettes, drones and more recently in home energy storage systems. The panel will examine how to mitigate the risks, including ensuring compliance with safety standards.

The second part of the seminar will look at drones, which have fast become a must-have gadget for the likes of ambitious photographers and sports enthusiasts wanting to take panoramic shots from the skies. The panel will examine the regulatory landscape for drones and the potential safety risks they present.
