Event description
A webinar from Smarter Not Harder which focuses on the risks & rewards of restructuring the people part of your organisation

About this Event

If you are implementing, planning or considering a restructure then this webinar will have come at the perfect time. Under normal circumstances (which these are not right now) when a business decides to restructure (or reorganise) it has pressures or forces driving that decision ….. but it’s a choice ….. When COVID came along there was little or no choice because organisations were forced to change the way they operated!

Whether your restructure is through necessity or choice your aim will be to maximise the benefits and minimise the risks. So how do you do this? Often it involves complex thinking of a “linear nature”, however, if successful restructures were just a series of financial, logical, technical & mathematical challenges they would be “relatively” straightforward. But they are not because they require the disruption of complex systems at an organisational, team & personal level. That’s why many people don’t enjoy this aspect of “work” because of the hassle, the pain, the disruption, the upset & the suffering associated with it.

During this webinar we consider the restructuring challenge from a number of different perspectives. Perspectives which are not frequently considered and consequently organisations miss out on some opportunities which can make the process a little more rewarding, a little less risky, slightly less stressful & painful. The questions we aim to address are:-

  • In what way could this situation be a “once in a lifetime opportunity”?
  • What extra capacity currently remains untapped within your workforce?
  • 3 things we must always consider and the 2 of these that often get overlooked or receive insufficient focus
  • How often can you play the “necessity is the mother of invention” card?
  • When the decisions are finally made & communicated how do you make sure that people “hit the ground running” in the NEW STRUCTURE?
  • On a scale of 1-10, how radical, imaginative & creative is your restructure? (10=radical, imaginative & creative)
