About this event

Arts • Fine Art

Explore the Risograph printing process and create vibrant two-colour A3 prints from your own unique design. In this workshop, we’ll introduce you to the Risograph machine, a sustainable printing method that uses vegetable and soy-based inks. The process is fully analogue, and you’ll learn how to create artwork for Riso through mark-making and collage techniques. No experience is necessary, and all are welcome!

All materials are provided, but feel free to bring along any mark-making tools or greyscale images/layer separations you'd like to work with. This workshop doesn’t require computers, so everything will be done by hand.

Workshop Details

In this session, we’ll guide you through the Risograph printing process – think of it as a combination of screen printing and photocopying. We’ll supply a range of collage and mark-making materials to help you create artwork ready for printing. Each participant will print A3 2-colour Risograph prints using the scanner bed. If you have any favourite materials or pre-existing artwork (printed in greyscale) that you’d like to incorporate, feel free to bring them along.

By the end of the session, you’ll leave with your own edition of prints, and a solid understanding of the process.

Please note: this workshop is for participants aged 18 and over.

This event is free to attend, but donations are warmly welcomed - either on the day or via the link below.Your support helps us continue offering healthy food, creative arts and wellbeing workshops, skills training, local job opportunities, and community-led town centre regeneration projects. Every contribution makes a real difference!
