Event description

Description

Step into the world of an early modern household with the University of Exeter Shakespeare Society and postgraduate researchers from Exeter University’s Centre for Early Modern Studies.

In this atmospheric tour of Exeter’s oldest building, you will be introduced to new research on different aspects of Tudor and Stuart life and death in England and the South-West. The tour will finish in the Great Hall for a taste of Renaissance drama, to be enjoyed along with a glass of wine.

Tickets are free, but booking is essential.

Tours will last approximately one hour. They will include periods of standing and, due to the historic nature of the building, uneven surfaces and stairs.

This event is supported by the Society for Renaissance Studies and the College of Humanities Associate Dean for Research at the University of Exeter, with further assistance by the University of Exeter Doctoral College.
