Description
The River is a multi-disciplinary collaboration between performance artists Imogene Newland and Angela Main and composer and acoustic sound artist Bryce Hope.
Set in the stunning surroundings of Peterculter, Aberdeen, our project aims to explore the folk lore and tales of the River Dee and surrounding areas through the medium of dance and sound. The project will entail research into the area - citing stories such as Boaty Maggie - and will look to incorporate the natural aural beauty of the landscape into acoustic soundscapes.
To find out more about our project, our research and our ambitions and insipirations for the project, you can read our blog post series here, which we will be adding to throughout our residency.
