About this Event
EMBL alumni and staff are warmly invited to join us on Friday 29 January at 16:00hrs CET* for a special online lecture by EMBL alumna Florence Besse, Group Leader at Université de Nice.
Her free-to-access talk, entitled RNA journey to neuron tips: a fly's perspective, will explore how mRNA is targeted to specific destinations in polarised neuronal cells, as well as the role of mRNA localisation in the developing and mature brain.
Florence will also share her experience and offer useful tips for navigating the French research system.
This lecture will follow the first online EMBL Alumni Association (EAA) board meeting of 2021, which was due to take place physically at the EMBL Grenoble site. Florence's lecture will be introduced by board Chair Fátima Gebauer, and there will be a Q&A with Florence and board members afterwards.
