About this event

The RNIB Health and Social Care Training team will deliver a session providing an overview of what the eye condition is, the effect on vision, explore treatment options and simple support tips. This session is suitable for health and social care professionals and outlines what you could cover in full courses offered by the team.

Winnie Smith, Training and Development Manager

Winnie moved into designing and delivering training after a career in teaching, joining the Health and Social Care Training team in 2023. A clear communicator, Winnie ensures complex topics are explained in an easy-to-understand way.

Winnie says: "I am passionate about ensuring staff have all the information and resources they need to confidently support people living with sight loss and look forward to meeting you at the training".

Qualifications:

BSc (Hons) Human Biology - Loughborough University

Postgraduate Certificate in Education with Qualified Teacher Status - Oxford University.
