This session is CPD certified, and participants will receive a certificate after completing the training. This is an online session and will be delivered by MS Teams.

The aim of the training is to increase understanding and awareness of the causes, and impact of sight loss and ways to reduce its impact, for professionals working in Health and Social Care. We will cover the prevalence and leading causes of sight loss, the impact that sight loss and unidentified sight loss can have on a person’s life and behaviour, the signs of sight loss and simple strategies to adapt your practise (including communication and inclusive environment tips).

This course is suitable for health and social care professionals who support people with sight loss.

Refund policy:

No refund will be issued if you cancel your booking or if the event is cancelled. The Health and Social Care Training team will however provide alternative dates for the workshop should they need to cancel the session.
