About this event
This is a fun competition open to ladies and mens teams of FOUR (16 years +).
No particular skill is required but in the best historic tradition of the RNLI, the boat (a Laser Pico dinghy with mast and launching trolley weighing approximately 100Kg) must be pulled across the sand around a flag and back to the finish line, a distance of approximately 100m. Teams will draw for start numbers and compete in pairs against the clock in a knockout competition. The winning ladies and mens teams will each receive the RNLI Appledore Atlantic Boat Pull trophy.
The Boat Pull competition is open to anyone over 16 who can enter a team of FOUR people and is ideally suited to sports clubs, gyms, social clubs and businesses. Entry is £10 per person (£40 per team) in advance.
The winning team in 2021 was Skern Lodge, with Team Boaty McBoat Face as close finalists. Who will be the WINNERS in 2022?
