All swimmers are required to wear a wet suit. Despite it being summer the sea temperature is still low and the guidance for open water swimming events is that wet suits should be warn. Your safety is paramount and wearing a wet suit will reduce the risk of hypothermia.
A gazebo is provided for all participants to get ready at the start, then to change into their running kit during the transition from Swim to Run. Many participants choose to change into their running shoes and just run in their wetsuit! The transition time does count towards your race time!
