The Castle 2 Castle Swim is an iconic one mile open water sea swim across the Carrick Roads. It starts at Pendennis Castle in Falmouth and finishes at St Mawes Castle on the Roseland Peninsula.

This popular event is strictly limited to 600 swimmers and is open to anyone over the age of 14.

Please note, participants should be intermediate or experienced open water swimmers.

Registration for the swim is £30 and we ask everyone to pledge to raise at least £100 through sponsorship, as every pound raised will support our volunteers in saving lives around our coast.

The swim is an absolutely fantastic event largely run by volunteers, without whom it wouldn’t be possible. It promises to be great fun with a fantastic atmosphere, so do come along and get involved.

If swimming isn't your thing but you would still like to be involved, please get in touch as there are many volunteering opportunities available on the day.

Please read our Terms and Conditions, as well as the event specific terms and conditions below. You will need to agree to these as part of the sign up process:

  • You must be at least 14 years of age on the day of the event to enter.
  • You will provide and wear your own wetsuit at the event.

No swimmer will be allowed in the water without a wetsuit on. We recommend wearing a swim-specific wetsuit, which will provide extra buoyancy and warmth

  • You must be able to swim at least one mile in open water conditions.
  • You must attend the safety briefing before the start of the swim.
