RNLI Cornwall Reindeer Run 2025

Join us for a festive family fun day at the famous par race track as we kick off the Advent season with our Reindeer Run! This is your chance to run on an official athletics track, no potholes, no muddy pathways, no gravel in your shoes, just a perfect sporting level track!

Whether you're a seasoned runner or looking to complete your first race, there's a distance for everyone. Choose from our 5K race or the 2K fun run, on both distance routes you’ll be supported by our wonderful team of RNLI volunteer marshals, helping you lap count and all cheering you on to the finish.

Be sure to wear your best Christmas-themed attire and lace up your running shoes for a morning filled with exercise, holiday spirit, and some mince pies to finish! There will even be a prize for the best festive fancy dress!

The event doesn't finish after the run as there will be lots to do at the venue from their onsite pump track for bike and scooter enthusiasts, and a bustling cafe with delicious treats and informative health and fitness promotions, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Support the RNLI with the opportunity to browse their festive merchandise and participate in the run event of the season!

The event venue features accessible facilities and is subject to weather conditions, so be sure to check for updates. Let's spread some Christmas cheer together!

Ticket information: Places must be purchased by someone 18 years old or over.

Age restrictions

All participants under the age of 16 must have a parent/guardian in attendance at the event on the run event itself. Under 3 year olds can only join in with a registered parent and should be included in the adult registration. They must be carried or be in a buggy for the duration of the course.

2k

• No minimum age requirement.
• Under 16 year olds must be accompanied by an adult (max ratio of 5 children per adult)
• Under 3s attend free (with a participating adult)

5k

• Minimum of 11 years old to participate.
• 11-15 year olds must be accompanied by an adult (max ratio of 5 children per adult)
• 16 year olds and over can participate independently (parental consent will be part of the registration process)
• Under 3s attend free (with a participating adult)

Terrain/route information: Both the 5K and the 2K are run on a mixture of the athletics track and grass. Some sections of the course may accumulate mud, leaves and puddles after rain. Marshals will be located along the course. The start and finish are on the athletics track close to the Pavillion building and main car park.

Timings: Registration opens at 9:30, please note that each distance has a staggered race start time, so please take note of these for your chosen run. Full details are in the agenda.
