RNLI Peaks & Waters Sportive

Matlock & Bakewell RNLI fund raising branch invite cyclists to enjoy a non competitive sportive, featuring a choice of 3 routes . The event starts and finishes at Carsington Sailing Club with a refreshment stop at Ogston Sailing Club. 2 of the routes link Carsington Sailing Club & Ogston Sailing club with a choice of challenging rides of 100km (5200feet elevation gain) or 60km (3380 feet of elevation gain). On these two routes your efforts will be rewarded with stunning scenery and the longer route takes you through the beautiful Chatsworth Park. A Family funride of either 13km round Carsington Water or 5km short ride will appeal to families & children. The routes are tried and tested by local riders and designed around the beautiful country lanes and villages of the Peak district.The route has been designed to ensure that wherever possible, there are low traffic volumes and away from major roads & busy towns. The exact route will be sign posted.
