About this event

Robin Nolan Trio

When one of the world's most celebrated gypsy jazz guitarists reworks the world's greatest bands music, magic can happen!

George Harrison was a fan and friend of Robin Nolan, one of the world’s leading authorities on Gypsy Jazz Guitar. Harrison even named him as one of his favourite guitarists!

Nolan has a new album set for release in 2024 on the Harrison’s ‘Dark Horse Records’ and was recorded using three of George’s famous Beatles guitars.

The Gibson - the only guitar used on every Beatles album, the Spanish Ramirez used on And I Love Her, and the Rickenbacker used on the "A Hard Day’s Night" album! This is the first time these guitars have been recorded since the 70's.

Robin's trio will be playing songs from the new record, critically acclaimed original compositions and of course some heavyweight gypsy jazz classics!

The trio features UK virtuoso guitarist Chris Quinn, often seen alongside gypsy jazz royalty Stochelo Rosenberg and Paulus Schäfer and Tom Moore on bass, well known as a regular member of the Remi Harris Trio.

If you love real acoustic music do not miss this one! You can expect some of the hottest guitar playing you've ever heard...

“In these days of ‘cacophony’ it’s great to hear some proper music”
