Description

ROC Your World Northern Ireland is a new two-day conference aimed at equipping the local church to engage with their community. The conference will include times of worship and teaching, workshops, networking opportunities as well as celebrating five years of ROC in Northern Ireland.

Our Keynote Speaker is Debra Green OBE, Founder and National Director of ROC and worship will be led by James Turner from The Hub at Queen's Chaplaincy.

The workshops on working in partnership; restorative justice; family mentoring and working with older people in our community; will highlight our effective and well tested projects. Our staff team and local volunteers will be on hand to give practical help with all you need to make it happen.

Refreshments and Saturday lunch are included in your ticket. If you have any dietary requirements, please contact info@roc.uk.com with your name and requirements.

Friday Night

7.15pm: Doors Open - time for a coffee, meet the ROC team and visit the ROC stand

8.00pm: Welcome to ROC Your World NI - our first session will include a time of worship, stories from 5 years of ROC, Key note Address 'Who is my world?' by ROC Founder and Director Debra Green OBE.

9.45pm: Coffee & Cake

Saturday

9.15am: Doors Open - time for a coffee, meet the ROC team, visit the ROC stand & sign up for a workshop

9.45am: Morning Session: The needs of my world. Our guest speaker works on the frontline facing many of our communities needs - loneliness, anti-social behaviour, missing from home - placing a huge demand on services. The church has an opportunity to respond.

11.30am: Coffee Break

12.00pm: Workshop 2 options: Caring for older people in the our community OR working together in partnership/ROC Conversation

1.00pm: Lunch - provided and included in your ticket!

1.45pm: Workshops 2 options: Community/Family mentoring OR Restorative Justice

2.45pm: Coffee Break

3.00pm: Final Session - Our Call to impact our World. Debra Green will be leading us through a time of worship as we explore our call to transform communities.

4.30pm: ROC Your World NI Conference closes for 2017!
