In celebration of International Women's Day, I am delighted to invite you to join the Right To Play Women's Network and UK Athletics for an evening of networking and discussion. We'll be exploring the importance of role models in our lives and how to make the most of the opportunities they present.

World Championship medalist 4x400m relay runner, Laviai Nielsen, will be on the panel to talk about the profound impact strong role models have had on her life. Coral Nourrice, athletics coach and former athlete, will explain the important part coaches play in championing individuals and Right To Play Deputy Chair, Leslie McCormack Gathy, will talk about how role models are transforming opportunities for the girls and boys in our programmes.

Donna Fraser, 4x Team GB Olympian and Vice President of UK Athletics, will chair the panel.

The schedule for the evening:

  • 6.30pm - 7.00pm Networking reception with drinks and lite bites
  • 7.00pm - 8.00pm Panel discussion chaired by Donna Fraser, with Laviai Nielsen, Coral Nourrice and Leslie McCormack Gathy, followed by Q&A
  • 8.00pm - 9.00pm Networking

This is an open event so please bring along family or friends to celebrate International Women’s Day in this way with us.

Refreshments will be served.

Our thanks to BlackRock for supporting this event.
