A talk presented by Martin Watts, Cotswold Archaeology.

An 'in person' talk only, in Wheatstone Hall, Museum of Gloucester.

Dating to the 1st century AD, the main archaeological feature was a square burial plot that yielded a lead ossuarium containing a cremation burial. Nearby, a quarry pit was found to contain a significant assemblage of pottery, metalwork and glass with 1st-century military associations. Together, these discoveries raise questions regarding the organisation of the landscape around Gloucester during the 1st century AD.
