What a class to finish our calendar year on at DCC! An extraordinary online drawing class and concept created this year by Matthew Lawrence and Janet Mayer of Drawing Cabaret Couture. In collaboration with Anne Veck for the 2020 Alternative hair show 'ROOKED'.

Now featuring two looks from the emerging menswear designer Hari krishnan who took the internet by storm when he sent his inflatable latex trousers of balloon-like proportions down the runway during his graduate show at London College of Fashion.

Expect nothing less than big hair, 3dimensional sets, and wacky poses from our model performers Janet Mayer & Jordanna Rev. An utterly bonkers online drawing class created to inspire you and quite literally blow your minds!

'ROOKED.' A 3 dimensional world shattered into a million black and white pieces litter and fill the rolling hills of Shropshire. Horses run wild and models hang from trees, contorting into shapes of morphed masked shadows as oil paint drips from their fingertips. Slender high fashion skywalkers rule and roam the fragmented fields of a Huxley dreamscape.’

'Rooked' the concept created for the 2020 Alternative hair show was created from the ideas behind a chessboard. ‘We imagined all the characters on the board as these high fashion figures and mad characters, pulling strong influences from an American Horror story, Vogue, Cabaret and the fantastical world of Tim Walker. Rooked included some of London's most influential creatives in the dance and fashion industry including J'adore La Vie model dancers Janet Mayer, Ami Benton & Jordanna Rev Photography by Erica Von Stein, Hair by the queen of Avant Garde Anne Veck and of course our favourite filmmaker Kassandra Powell.
