About the course

This course invites us to explore the journey of gently releasing the layers of conditioning we’ve built over time. It offers a space to step beyond the roles we’ve come to know, and to connect more deeply with our true nature. As we touch this authentic self, we open to a love and acceptance that is both tender and powerful—creating space for a more connected and fulfilling life

Each session includes:

· Facilitator sharing on the topic

  • Personal reflection to help you uncover your own experience and relationship with love, fostering greater self-awareness and compassion.
  • Sharing circles where participants are invited to speak and listen with kindness, building a safe, supportive community rooted in mutual respect.
  • Poetry and creative prompts that open the heart and inspire fresh perspectives on connection and tenderness.
  • Mindfulness meditation practices that cultivate groundedness, openness, and loving-kindness toward yourself and others.

Thursday 23rd October 7pm -8.30pm

Soft Front, Strong Back: Mindfulness for Courage and Compassion

This guided session explores the balance between strength and openness — the “soft front, strong back” principle. Through grounding practices, mindful breathing, and gentle body awareness, we’ll cultivate a strong, stable presence (the strong back) while allowing our hearts to remain receptive and tender (the soft front). You’ll learn how to stay anchored in your values while meeting life’s challenges with curiosity, kindness, and resilience.

Whether you’re facing difficulty or simply seeking a deeper sense of ease in daily life, this session will help you embody both courage and compassion — standing tall without hardening, and opening without collapsing.

Thursday 30th October

Strength in Tenderness: Mindfulness Beyond Gain and Loss

In this session, we’ll explore how true resilience arises not from armouring ourselves, but from allowing our hearts to remain open — even in uncertainty. Drawing on the Buddhist teaching of the Eight Worldly Dharmas — gain and loss, praise and blame, pleasure and pain, fame and disrepute — we’ll practice staying steady and kind whether life brings comfort or challenge.

Through guided meditation, reflection, and gentle inquiry, you’ll learn to meet each moment with both strength and tenderness: grounded in presence, free from the push and pull of praise or criticism, success or setback. Together, we’ll cultivate the courage to be touched by life without being swept away by it

Living the Four Immeasurables: Mindfulness for a Fulfilled Life

This session invites you to explore the Four Immeasurables — loving-kindness, compassion, empathetic joy, and equanimity — timeless qualities that expand the heart and steady the mind. Through guided meditation, reflection, and practical exercises, you’ll learn how to nurture these qualities within yourself and extend them to others, creating deeper connection and inner peace.

We’ll explore how integrating these practices into daily life transforms ordinary moments into opportunities for presence and meaning — easing reactivity, softening self-criticism, and opening pathways to a deeper understanding and experience of happiness.

Love in Uncertainty: A Mindfulness Practice for Unsteady Times

In moments of change or unpredictability, our instinct may be to brace against the unknown. This session explores how love — for ourselves, for others, and for life itself — can be a steadying force in uncertain times. Through guided meditation, gentle breathwork, and reflective inquiry, we’ll practice opening the heart even when the path ahead isn’t clear.

You’ll learn ways to soften fear, cultivate inner trust, and remain connected to what matters most, allowing love to be both anchor and compass. Together, we’ll discover that in the midst of uncertainty, love is not a fragile sentiment, but a profound source of resilience, clarity, and courage

Thursday 27th November

Love as a Container: Resting in the Heart’s Embrace

This session invites you to explore love not just as an emotion, but as a spacious container — a safe, nurturing space where you can rest fully and be yourself. Through guided meditation and gentle body awareness, we’ll practice settling into this open-hearted presence, allowing love to hold us tenderly during all the ebbs and flows of life

By resting in love’s embrace, we create room for greater ease, resilience, and connection — both with ourselves and the world around us.
