'Mental health problems affect about 1 in 10 children and young people. They include depression, anxiety and conduct disorder, and are often a direct response to what is happening in their lives. ... The emotional wellbeing of children is just as important as their physical health.' Mental Health Foundation

Are you a young person? Would you like to know more about:

- Doing well in your exams?
- Yourself and building your confidence, self-esteem and self-efficacy?
- Feeling good about who you are?
- Managing your emotions?
- Faith and Spirituality?
- Understanding your strengths, gifts and talents?
- Improving your relationships with your peers, teachers and family?
- Anxiety and stress?

If you have answered YES to any of these questions - then these workshops might be for you.

I am aware as young people you are possibly affected by family, social, political, education and economic changes around you and worldwide. I am also conscious from my years of working with young people that your emotional, mental, spiritual and physical wellbeing are impacted on by the way you respond to these changes. Do you also feel that your hopes and fears for your future, country, and views on the wider world, and the values and beliefs that affect your lives are often being challenged?

I believe it is essential that we look at ways of providing support to you as young people to help you to navigate through these and many other challenges you face during adolescence and your young adult life. We know social and emotional wellbeing creates the foundations for healthy behaviours and educational attainment.

These four workshops intends to provide opportunities for you to explore these challenges and gain an insight into what will enable you to increase your self-esteem and be more confident in who you are. You will also be encouraged to explore through the workshops and interactive group discussions what influences behaviours and relationships and how you can cope with the challenges of daily life.

A strong sense of being encourages individuals to consider their own thoughts, actions and feelings and those of others. These four workshops will enable you as participants to develop your skills of understanding, empathy and interdependence, helping you to form healthy and stable relationships in your lives.
