Event description

Description

At the Rosie Hospital, we hold two similar events, the Rosie Open Evening and the Rosie Hospital Tours.

What's the difference between the 'Rosie Open Evening' and the 'Rosie Tours'?

The Rosie Open Evenings are held every three months. You will have the opportunity to meet some of our experienced and friendly staff and find out about some of the services we provide, find out what to expect if you choose to have your baby at the Rosie and receive general information and advice on pregnancy, birth and after birth. Tours will also be available throughout the evening.

The Rosie Tours are held every month. One of our midwives will show small groups of people around the unit - these will last approximately 30-40 minutes.

Please make sure you read the frequently asked questions section.

Frequently asked questions:

1. How many weeks pregnant must I be in order to attend?

You must only book if you are 30 weeks and over at the date of the tour.

2. Can I attend both the tours and Open Evening?

No. Unfortunatly due to high demand you must choose between a Rosie Tour or Rosie Opening (tours are available in both events).

3. Can children attend?

Children can attend but they will not be allowed on the tour. A responsible adult must stay with them while you are on the tour.

4. Can I bring more than one person with me?

Yes, but you will only be allowed to take one extra person with you on the tour.

5. My tour was cancelled?

Due to infection control restrictions across the Trust, tours may be cancelled at last minute. Infection control restrictions may be in place for an indefinite period of time, especially during the winter months. If your tour is cancelled, we will be able to offer you a place on the next available tour once the restrictions have been lifted. Unfortunately, this may mean that there will be no available tours before your baby is born. Please make sure to add your phone number on the booking form in order for us to let you know about cancelled tours and specify if you are happy for us to leave a message about this on the number you provide.

6. How long are the tours?

Open Evening tours will be approximately 20-30 minutes.

7. I'm due before the next availablie?

Please contact Magda at magda.carvalho@addenbrookes.nhs.uk.

8. How frequently will tours be available?

We aim to offer tours every month for the foreseeable future.
