Event description

Description

Rosie Nimmo comes to the Central Library as part of Edinburgh's TradFest running 26 April to 7 May. TradFest is a showcase for Scotland's thriving traditional arts and is a signature event for Scotland's Year of History, Heritage and Archaeology 2017.

Rosie performs songs from her three critically acclaimed albums, Lazy and Mellow, Home and Scrapbook, supported by Stuart Allardyce on guitar and Tommy Nimmo on bass. Rosie and her band invite the audience to question the meanings of home, heritage, and the passing of time. Acknowledging the part played by our past while remaining very much grounded in the modern world, Rosie explores emotions ranging from whimsical to sombre, taking us to the heart of what it is to be human.
