Rother Rec Volunteer Day (afternoon) + bird boxes
Event Information
About this Event
Task: Litter-picking and putting up bird boxes
DCRT staff have been working to make the volunteering experience as safe as possible, with new systems to protect you in place. To our regular volunteers who want to start volunteering again, welcome back! Please note we are only opening sessions up to those who have volunteered with us before.
To keep you safe, our volunteer tasks will have a limit of 6 people, including 2 staff members to support you. You will need to book on to sessions in advance and provide details for Track & Trace. An electronic risk assessment and guidance sheet will be sent to your email address before the task.
If you missed out please add yourself to the waiting list for our later session, on the same day at 1-3pm.
All equipment is provided. Volunteers will receive on loan their own hand-gel, gloves and hi-vis from the DCRT team. Volunteers are responsible for cleaning and bringing their PPE to future volunteer tasks. Face coverings are not required for the task, but DCRT will provide a clean, disposable facemask if a situation arises where volunteers will need to wear one (e.g. first aid). If you would prefer to bring your own face covering to the day you are welcome to.
There will be the opportunity for a tea break at the end of the session, but volunteers must bring their own refreshments and snacks.
To join in please register through the ticket link above. If you have any queries or concerns about the running of the day you can email info@dcrt.org.uk.
