Distance: 1.82 miles

Rotherham as a Minster Town has a lot to offer. Founded in the Middle Ages its name originated from old English “Homestead on the Rother”. Throughout its history it has marked it presence through its people, events and places.

The stories need to be told so why not come along and meet our new volunteers and explore our fanstastic past.

The walk will be at a gentle pace covering the main areas around the Town Centre. There will be some kerbs and uneven surfaces but the majority of the walk will be along pedestrianised walkways.

Rotherham District Civic Society is a registered Charity (Reg No. 2588313) that was established in 1968. It is operated entirely by volunteers and is a membership based organisation that gives local people a voice in helping shape the places where they live and work.
