Welcome! We are back and happy to announce 3 upcoming workshops!
(who are we)
Rotten is a crip collective of disabled artists wanting to create a space for crippled/disabled/neurodiverse/mad people to meet together, talk and create.
We currently have space to host three workshops over the next two months at the Pie House co op : OCTOBER 6th, 27th and NOVEMBER 17TH
=== DISABLED UTOPIAS === OCTOBER 6th
DISCUSSING CRIP THEORY AND A LOOK INTO DISABLING THE FUTURE
A GROUP MAKING SESSION AND A PLACE FOR MEETING, DISCUSSION AND ART
( DRAWING-COLLAGE-WRITING-ETC )
This is a disabled led collective and the space we are making is for d/Deaf and disabled people, open to all who call themselves disabled, mad, crippled, sick, neurodiverse etc
We use the social definition of disability: anyone who is disabled by barriers in society if you are still exploring your own connection to disability, a disabled companion or part of a disabled persons support network you are welcome
The venue is completely wheel chair accessible
We have been told the venue may be cold, please wrap up warm as winter comes - hot water bottles and tea will be provided !
You're welcome to bring snacks and drinks
This a nut free and scent free event please don't bring any food with nuts or wear heavy perfume
Please don't feel you must take part in all aspects of the workshops, this is a meeting space first, the focus on crip connection not final outcomes
Being verbal is not needed in this space
Masks encouraged!
Please contact us for any additional access requirements or questions :)
