Event description
Invitation to all Frontline Workers: Come and share your thoughts, to help inform the new Rough Sleeping Strategy in Brighton and Hove.

About this event

The City’s Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategies are due for renewal soon. The council are planning to re-write them both; merge them into one; and link them into national plans to reduce homelessness. They are currently consulting with services and people with lived experience of homelessness at various events and soon will be sending out an online questionnaire.

The Rough Sleepers and Single Homeless Support Commissionaires have asked us to host an event specifically around rough sleeping to get ideas from frontline workers for what could go into the strategy. The strategy will focus on how it can be prevented; what interventions really help when someone is rough sleeping; and what support people need to maintain accommodation once they are housed.

It is a great opportunity for you to have your say on a strategic level, so please do come along.

You may find it helpful to consider a few things before hand such as:

  • What have people who have used your service said have been the most helpful thing for them?
  • What types of services from your experience have been successful?
  • What types of services or interventions are missing in Brighton & Hove?
  • What interventions have been transformative for people you have worked with?

The event will be about getting your feedback and ideas. You can be as honest and critical as you want, and bring your ideas for solutions too!
