Unlock your creativity and start your entrepreneurial journey with our classes in the key principles of working with 'Textiles'! Perfect for beginners, this hands-on course teaches you the essential skills needed for making with non woven and woven fabric. Guided by expert instructors, you will gain confidence in this craft while bringing your designs to life and experiencing how to turn your creative passion into profit.

Wk 1 - Introduction to Felting and Design Development - Demonstrate a step-by-step processing of wool from the sheep, washing, dyeing, combing and ready to be used. Creating a simple design on paper, discussing colours to be used, layout of design and how this design will be displayed at the end of the course.

Wk 2 - Dying Processes - Dying the wool, discussing different types of dyes, including food colouring, natural dyes and acid dyes. This can be done in a microwave and heated water bath.

Wk 3 - Wet Felting - Wet felting our background design. Layering different colour wools to achieve the design the students are happy with, before wet felting the fibres together to make felt fabric.

Week 4 and 5 - Surface Decoration Techniques and Application - Adding detail and depth into the design by needle felting, layering other mediums like fabric, denim and yarn. Using decorative embroidery, seed beads and crystal bead details.

Week 6 Finishing and Presentation - Putting the final touches on their designs, adding the frames or driftwood to their pieces for overall presentation. Round up and review of class achievements, discussing places they can show their work or sell their pieces eg. Craft Fairs, online shops like Etsy.

Week 7 Exploring Woven Fabric Applications - Using Scrap fabric to make a decorative woven panel.

Week 8 Fabric Printing - Using Lino Printing as a means to add printing techniques to fabric swatches.

Week 9 Sewing Machine intro - Using machine embroidery to work into printed swatches and use dissolvable muslim to create designs.

Week 10 Machine Sewing - An Introduction pattern cutting and making a tote bag.

Week 11 & 12 Making a cushion cover with zip - Utilising all skills learned over the course to create a cushion with decorative panels.

Wythnos 1 - Cyflwyniad i Feltio a Datblygu Dyluniadau - Arddangos dull cam wrth gam o brosesu gwlân o'r ddafad, golchi, lliwio, cyfuno a pharatoi iddo gael ei ddefnyddio. Creu dyluniad syml ar bapur, trafod y lliwiau i'w defnyddio, cynllun y dyluniad a sut y bydd y dyluniad hwn yn cael ei arddangos ar ddiwedd y cwrs.

Wythnos 2 - Prosesau Lliwio - Lliwio'r gwlân, trafod mathau gwahanol o liw, gan gynnwys lliw bwyd, llifynnau naturiol a llifynnau asid Gall hyn gael ei wneud mewn microdon a baddon o ddŵr cynnes.

Wythnos 3 - Feltio Gwlyb - Feltio gwlyb ein dyluniad cefndir. Haenu gwlân o liwiau gwahanol i gyflawni dyluniad mae'r myfyrwyr yn fodlon arno, cyn y broses feltio gwlyb i feltio'r ffibrau gyda'i gilydd i wneud deunydd felt.

Wythnosau 4 a 5 - Technegau Addurno Arwynebol a Cymhwyso - Ychwanegu manylion a dyfnder i'r dyluniad drwy feltio nodwydd, haenu cyfryngau eraill fel ffabrig, denim ac edau. Defnyddio brodwaith addurniadol, gleiniau hadau a gleiniau crisial.

Wythnos 6 Gorffen a Chyflwyno - Rhoi'r manylion terfynol ar eu dyluniadau, ychwanegu fframiau neu froc i'w darnau ar gyfer y cyflwyniad cyffredinol. Crynhoi ac adolygu llwyddiannau'r dosbarth, trafod llefydd y gallant arddangos eu gwaith neu werthu eu darnau e.e. Ffeiriau Crefft, siopau ar-lein fel Etsy.

Wythnos 7 Archwilio sut i Gymhwyso Deunydd wedi'i Wehyddu - Defnyddio deunydd sgrap i greu panel addurniadol wedi'i wehyddu.

Wythnos 8 Printio ar Ddeunydd - Gan ddefnyddio Printio Lino fel dull i ychwanegu technegau printio i samplau o ddeunyddiau.

Wythnos 9 Cyflwyniad i'r Peiriant Gwnïo - Defnyddio peiriant brodwaith i weithio ar samplau o ddeunyddiau a defnyddio lliain hydawdd i greu dyluniadau.

Wythnos 10 Peiriant Gwnïo - Cyflwyniad i dorri patrymau a chreu bag cario.

Wythnosau 11 a 12 Creu gorchudd clustog â sip - Defnyddio'r holl sgiliau a ddysgwyd dros y cwrs i greu clustog â phaneli addurnol.
