In a specially created imaginary world, the children of Lanark have found themselves cast away down the Clyde to a remote island. Using drama, craft, percussion and wild play they will discover hidden talents that help them survive and return home safely.

Sessions are facilitated by qualified arts workers and assistants from South Lanarkshire Leisure & Culture and Clyde and Avon Valley Landscape Partnership. The first two sessions take place in Lanark Memorial Hall. The final session is a wild play event in the woods where all children and adults come together. You will be provided with more detais nearer the time.
Do I have to book for all three events?
No you can book for as many as your children can make it along to. We recommend booking in advance to reserve a place as the numbers are limited by ratios that we are required to adhere to.
Do I have to attend the adult sessions if my child is booked for the creative workshops?
No, it's not essential but we're keen to see as many parents, guardians, grandparents, teachers and early years workers come along as the sessions are designed to work in parallel. The discussion with the adults reflects what is happening with the children.
I have another child that isn't in primary 1, 2 or 3, can they come too?
This is a tricky one for us as we are trying to be as inclusive as possible, but our funding is for ages 4 to 8. When recruiting the facilitators we briefed them to tailor their session for this age group. Therefore it is this age group that will benefit the most. If you have children that are younger or older you can bring them along to the adult sessions with you under your responsibility.
Do I need to provide my child with a snack?
No, we provide a packet of crisps and bottle of water at each session. Please make arrangements for any special dietary requirements your children have.
