A series of workshops linked to Roundabout ... a wander through creative projects supported by Newcastle City Council's ArtsTeam 2015/16.
Workshop 1: Sat 2nd April - Northern Stars - Have a go Film Making (8 - 14 year olds/families welcome) Come along and try your hand at being a film maker. Learn how to direct, shoot and record sound, then put these new skills to the test in your own mini scene.
Workshop 2: Sat 2nd April - Nicola Lynch - Cityscapes (All ages/abilities) Build, play and create a large city environment in the exhibition space with poles and straws. Make your own mini - construction to takeaway.
Workshop 3: Sun 3rd April - Richard Hutchinson - Urban Art (All ages/abilities) Get creative designing your own urban names & artwork on paper and card.
Workshop 4: Sun 3rd April - Newcastle Library Makers Group (All ages/abilities) Basic electronics and coding skills using Arduino. Discover & explore some basic hands on projects using LEDs, microcontrollers, switches & wires.You will create a touchy feely lamp that turns a light on and off when you touch a piece of conductive material.
Workshop 5: Mon 4th April - Tommy Anderson - Photomontage (8+ yrs) Create your own unique photomontage using the archive photographs from Newcastle City Library Collection, current - day photographs and concept images of things to come!
Workshop 6: Mon 4th April - This workshop has been cancelled due to artist ill health. Apologies. Darren Carlaw - Walking Narrative (Adults 16+ with any level of writing ability)
Workshop 7: Tues 5th April - Sheryl Jenkins - Animation Workshop (All ages/abilities) You will create large scale animations, using people and objects.
Workshop 8: Tues 5th April - Sally Southern - Print Workshop (All ages/abilites) You will experiment with different print techniques (simple stamps, shaving foam and polystyrene sheets) to make cards, pictures and wrapping paper.
