Route to Recruit Supported Internship Information session for young people

By Ways into Work
Online event

Overview

This session is aimed at providing the information you need to decide if a supported internship is right for you in your employment journey.

Supported Internships are a step out of education into employment aimed at young people aged 16 to 24, SEN with an EHCP who learn best by doing, as opposed to sitting in a classroom. They achieve fantastic employment outcomes. Ways into Work has been operating supported internships for 13 years and we have a wide range of employers on board who offer varying placements across Berkshire, all of which are supported by trained Job Coaches and very supportive and inclusive employers.

Come to our session to learn about:

• what a supported internship is and how it is delivered

• our different Supported Internship models (Route 2 Recruit, DFN Project Search). Key differences in delivery and partners involved in each program.

• what young people learn

• the benefits of doing a supported internship

• what the eligibility criteria is

• how the funding works

• what kind of placements are likely to be on offer in September 2026

• what the timetable is and how to apply

We hope to see you there.
