Routemaster & Greenmaster Explorer Tour
Sat 3 June 2017, 11:30 – 14:00 BST
Choose a high vantage point on a cold winter’s day in London and you can see a dirty brown layer of pollution, trapped by a temperature inversion hanging over the city. Tfl are making efforts to reduce the pollution caused by buses by introducing low and zero emission vehicles. Those grabbing the headlines at the moment are battery electric and hydrogen powered models. The term Greenmaster refers to these zero emission buses. The tour allows you to ride these “Greenmasters” and a classic Routemaster as well. There is some flexibility in the agenda to allow input from yourselves. The tour includes a short walk across the Thames using the Golden Jubilee Bridges. This is certainly an interesting way to spend a couple of hours.
Please bring your travel card or oystercard to cover fares. Note that contactless bank cards cannot be used on the classic Routemaster.
