Thanks to funding from the National Lottery, GMIAU is offering a whistle-stop introduction to routes out of destitution for people without secure immigration status.

We look at the different support available to individuals and families depending on their circumstances. This is to highlight the work of the "Destitution Team" at GMIAU and also to encourage referrals for those in need.

The areas covered include:

  • How to refer to GMIAU / Restricted Eligibility Service
  • Asylum support
  • No recourse to public funds conditions
  • EU nationals
  • Schedule 10 support
  • Support for people fleeing domestic violence
  • National Referral Mechanism for people fleeing modern slavery / trafficking.

Please note that this training is only open to organisations working in the North West of England.
