On 24th June 2016, Her Majesty the Queen presented Sir Matthew Bourne with the Queen Elizabeth II Coronation Award – the highest honour bestowed by the Royal Academy of Dance in recognition of exceptional services to the art of dance.
In a further recognition of the unique achievements of Sir Matthew, the Royal Academy of Dance is presenting an exclusive event on 26th September 2016 when Luke Rittner, Chief Executive of the RAD, will be In Conversation with … Sir Matthew Bourne.
Illustrated with fascinating film of his work, Sir Matthew will talk about his life and his career and his legendary productions in the stunning surroundings of Ham Yard Hotel’s state of the art screening room and the iconic Dive Bar. As we wait with great anticipation the imminent opening of Matthew Bourne’s new full length ballet “The Red Shoes”, this interview will be an event not to be missed.
The event will begin at 6.30pm with a drinks reception in the Dive Bar, followed by In Conversation with … Sir Matthew Bourne in the screening room from 7.30 - 8.30pm
