Royal Air Force Opportunities

A little-known fact is that the RAF is the largest supplier of apprenticeships in the UK.

Since 2007, Powerful Media Ltd has been working with African and African-Caribbean communities with the sole aim of providing them with information on career opportunities within a variety of organisations, including the RAF.

Our flagship title, The Powerlist, annually showcases 100 of the most influential people of African descent in the UK and our undergraduate title, Future Leaders, annually features 150 of the UK's most academically gifted black students who display leadership potential. Both are essentially role model guides for young people.

We specialise also in showcasing opportunities that often go unseen by people of African, African-Caribbean and dual heritage descent via our magazines, events and recruitment firm. Hence this event.

Open Day

On Tuesday July 26th, in conjunction with the Royal Air Force, we will host an open day to give a limited number of young people an idea of the incredible career opportunities that are available in the RAF.

If you attend the open day you will meet some young, smart airmen and officers of african and African Caribbean heritage who have chosen an RAF career and are thriving. They will give you a real insight into what it’s like to be a part of this incredible organisation.

Britain's black communities often do not tend to hear about the range of brilliant opportunities that exist in the RAF and therefore miss out. We at Powerful Media now aim to redress this imbalance and help set you on a career that is like no other. You must be aged 18-25 years and hold GCSE C grade in Maths and English (although for some roles this is not the case). Alternatively, you could be on the way to achieving these qualifications this year.

THE RAF HAS A RAFT OF DIFFERENT TRAINING SCHEMES AND THERE ARE SOME FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITIES FOR TALENTED, AMBITIOUS YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN WHO ARE INTERESTED IN WORLD-CLASS TRAINING, TRAVELLING THE WORLD, A GOOD SALARY AND A HUGE AMOUNT OF RESPECT. YOU WILL BE ABLE TO CHOOSE WHICH TRADE BEST FITS YOU. THERE ARE MORE THAN 60 DIFFERENT ROLES YOU CAN BE TRAINED FOR, INCLUDING:
