Event description

Description

We are exceptionally proud of our alumni, who have gone on to achieve great things in a wide range of areas. Many of our alumni now work in education, and we are keen to support and develop links with our former students working in schools.

On Wednesday 26 June 2019, we will be running a networking and professional development day for alumni Secondary and FE teachers, with subject-specific input from our Biological Sciences, History, English and Psychology academic departments. The day will begin with an in-depth campus tour from one of our current student ambassadors, who will show you around some familiar sights (and perhaps some less familiar!)

This will be followed by lunch on campus, to allow you to meet our current academics and Schools and Colleges Liaison team, and network with other alumni who are working in secondary education. After lunch, you will have the choice of 5 CPD workshops, led by current Royal Holloway academics and professionals, with the aim of sharing some of our recent research and providing information and resources that you will be able to take back to your school or college.

The CPD day is completely free, and will be an excellent opportunity to revisit your alma mater, meet likeminded professionals, and gain insight into our research and opportunities for schools.

Please note this event is only for Royal Holloway alumni who have become Secondary and FE teachers. If you do not fit this category please look out for our future CPD days. Thank you!
