Deborah Lambkin, talk about history of the Royal Horticultural Society orchid artists and the importance of botanical art.

About this Event

Deborah Lambkin is the current Royal Horticultural Society official orchid artist following in the footsteps of Nellie Roberts, the first and longest serving RHS orchid artist. Deborah's talk on the 12th September is part of the exhibition of Nellie Roberts' life and work at the San Mei Gallery on Loughborough Road, almost opposite where Nellie lived and painted many thousands of orchids for the RHS and others throughout her life.

The Nellie Roberts exhibition is open Wednesday-Sunday 10.30am-5.30pm, 5th-22nd September. It will be open late to 6.45pm on Wednesday 12th September to allow people to visit before Debrorah Lambkin's talk.
