Description

The Royal Navy Leadership Programme will deliver this useful and informative session.

About the Royal Navy Leadership Programme:

The Undergraduate Leadership Programme (ULP) gives STEM students, at all levels, an in-depth understanding of the leadership skills required for an engineering career in the Royal Navy – and how these skills give you the edge in industry. It is perfect if you’re looking to build on your leadership and management skills, experience a unique working environment first-hand, or just find out more about yourself.

The ULP is open to all Undergraduate students studying for a degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or Physics.

There is no obligation to join the military if you attend the programme.

More information can be found on our website:

What will the session cover?

This third session is a classroom-based session and includes discussions, table-top exercises and scenarios which explore leadership models to increase your understanding of the theory behind leadership and management. On completion of the session we will provide a more detailed programme of the up-coming Two-Day Royal Navy Experience and give you the opportunity to sign up if interested

There are another 2 sessions as part of this programme. You do not have to attend all 3 sessions, but it is beneficial to attend as many as possible for the full experience. The other sessions are listed on the Events Calendar - please book onto each individual session.

Following on from attending the 3 ULP sessions you will be invited to a TWO DAY ROYAL NAVY EXPERIENCE AND SIX WEEK SUMMER INTERNSHIP...

After the sessions held in your University you will be invited to Portsmouth for a Two Day Experience which will allow you to test you leadership in a more challenging environment. You will be able to practice and develop your leadership skills through a variety of exciting activities. Attendance on the Two Day Experience is mandatory for any individual interested in applying for our six-week paid summer internship. Working with Engineer Officers across the different engineering disciplines of the Royal Navy seeing first-hand what life as an officer is like, and how diverse, challenging and rewarding naval engineering is.
